Shandong Steel is the first steel enterprise in China to apply hot-rolled high-precision steel sections to the machinery field, changing the history of long-term dependence on imported forklift gantry steel or the use of plate welding and subsequent machining. It is the only enterprise in China with a full-process manufacturing capability for forklift gantry steel, controlling the entire process from steel ingot refining to section steel rolling, free from the influence of other enterprises. This ensures stable production and excellent quality of the forklift gantry steel it manufactures. The company's C270b forklift gantry steel, with the largest specifications and highest performance in the country, along with 12 other products, have filled gaps in domestic and international markets. Shandong Steel possesses 56 national patents with independent intellectual property rights and has led the formulation and revision of the industry standard "Hot-Rolled Gantry Steel for Forklifts" (YB/T 4237). The company has been honored with one first prize and one second prize in the China Iron and Steel Industry Association and the Metallurgical Science and Technology Awards, as well as two first prizes in the Shandong Metallurgical Science and Technology Progress Awards.
